Katie Weiler founded Viable Gear in 2021 after more than a decade in management consulting and marketing. Her work has focused on turning complex challenges into actionable, commercially realistic strategies. Her interest in plastic reduction began in 2017 after learning more about the global plastics crisis, leading her to pursue practical solutions to petroleum-based plastics and launch Viable Gear, an innovative materials company developing seaweed-based materials.
